Journalist with PR-experience in the environmental field
Julia Koch has more than ten years of professional experience in the media industry.
Most recently she worked as a press officer in the communication of Greenpeace Germany. She developed a concept for the improvement of regional public relations and supported the 90 Greenpeace volunteer groups in their press relations. Previously, she was a member of the News Bureau Asia and reported for various media from Singapore. Her articles on politics, economy and society in Southeast Asia and China appeared in newspapers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As an editor at the newspaper Goslarsche Zeitung she was responsible for the youth section and all youth related topics. She also developed the project "Harz-Queen Contest" for the newspaper, organized the event twice and managed it editorially. She did an editorial traineeship at the newspaper Northwest-Zeitung in Oldenburg and several internships at newspapers, magazines, radio stations and a TV station. Julia Koch holds a university degree in journalism. Her diploma thesis about "Frauen im Journalismus - Die ungleiche Machtverteilung in den Medien" ("Women in Journalism - The Unequal Distribution of Power in the Media") has been published as a book. |
